Increasingly, many of my real estate clients talk with me about energy efficiency features when it comes to considering residential properties. I found this survey to reflect what I see in serving my clients.
According to a 2013 survey by the National Association of Home Builders, these are the the features most want in a new home:
94% of home buyers want ENERGY STAR-rated appliances
93% want a laundry room
91% want an ENERGY STAR rating for the whole home
90% want an exhaust fan in the bathroom
90% want exterior lighting
90% want a bathroom linen closet
89% want ENERGY STAR-rated windows
88% want ceiling fans
86% want garage storage
85% want table space for eating in the kitchen
85% want a walk-in kitchen pantry
