Holiday Cheer San Diego Style

Put gas in the car, bundle up (for San Diego this is cold!) and head on out to enjoy the holiday season in beautiful San Diego. Here is just a sampling of activities, if you need my help to fill your calendar, please contact me!

DECEMBER 7-18 THE NUTCRACKER: Journey with Clara, the Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy as nearly 200 young dancers bring the magic of the story to life. San Diego Civic Youth Ballet.

DECEMBER 8-30 GARDEN OF LIGHTS: After the sun goes down, the Garden is transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland with over 100,000 sparkling lights. Activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting, visits with Santa. San Diego Botanic Garden.

DECEMBER 10 HOLIDAY STATION: Free winter festival at Liberty Station from noon to 5 PM.  Enjoy snow, sledding, photos with Santa, tree lighting, pony rides, hay rides, classic car show, performances and scavenger hunt. Liberty Station.

DECEMBER 11 & 18 SAN DIEGO BAY PARADE OF LIGHTS: Fireworks begin at 5:30 PM and the parade of brightly decorated boats follows until 9 PM. San Diego Parade of Lights.

DECEMBER 11 GASLAMP HOLIDAY PET PARADE: The parade begins and ends at Hilton Park at 4th & K. The parade starts at 3 PM. Enjoy the Pet Expo throughout the afternoon. Gaslamp Quarter.

DECEMBER 16 & 17 SAN DIEGO SYMPHONY HOLIDAY POPS: John Pagano is guest singer and performs along with the San Diego Master Chorale and Mariachi Champana Nevin. San Diego Symphony.

DECEMBER 21 SAN DIEGO COUNTY CREDIT UNION POINTSETTIA BOWL: Catch all the action at Qualcomm Stadium when TCU plays LA Tech. Pointsettiabowl.com.

DECEMBER 28 BRIDGEPOINT EDUCATION HOLIDAY BOWL: Don’t miss the Cal Vs. Texas game as well as the parade which runs down the bay side streets of downtown San Diego.  Holiday Bowl.
